Groundspray offers a complete package of spraying equipment. This includes handgun spraying from truck mounted spray units, tractors and quad bikes. We also have amphibious Argo's with handgun spray units, knapsacks, mist-blowers, and booms for forestry roads and industrial sites.

Groundspray also offer tree removal, from regeneration wilding pines, to large, hazardous tree felling.

At our base in Tapanui we provide a full pump repair and rebuilding service and are unofficial agents for the repair of Quikspray retractable reels.

Weed Control
GroundSpray is focused on weed control and specialise in the control of noxious weeds on farms, conservation estates, public lands, amenity areas and industrial sites. GroundSpray prides themselves in providing handgun and backpack spraying which targets weeds and provides advantages over broadacre or pasture spraying. This is a more selective type of weed control, minimising the amount of chemical used and provides 100% effectiveness.
Wilding Pine Control
Groundspray undertake a large amount of wilding pine control for government departments and private land owners. This includes a wide variety of methods such as chainsaws, skid hopping, scrub bars, spraying, hand tools, mulching and hand pulling. Selecting an appropriate method involves multiple factors but they can include such things as accessibility, tree size and aesthetics. These days, particular care is paid to ETS restrictions in the felling of pre 1989 trees. Surveys are carried out before work commences to ensure the landowner does not incur ETS liabilities
On Farm Consultancy
For existing clients this is completed free of charge, however if this is for a new client the amount charged is refunded on commencement of the work. This is a crucial part of the process as Groundspray spends time assessing the requirements of the farm for weed control. They are able to recommend the best course of action to minimise the impact of weeds on high producing areas of the farm at a cost which comes within the specified budget.
Equipment and Repairs
Groundspray offer a pump and small engine repair service and specialise in the repair and maintenance of Quikspray retractable reels. This includes the supply and fitting of high quality aftermarket parts including inhouse designed remote radio systems.
Contract Management
Groundspray has a proven track record providing management of contracts for private organisations, and Government departments.
The Groundspray ethos is to deliver superior quality service on time and at a reasonable cost. The team at GroundSpray are all trained to New Zealand Growsafe standards. Groundspray has sufficent staff on hand to ensure they are able to work quickly to get any job completed. This also gives them the scope to work further afield and can provide their services to the whole South Island for larger contracts that crop up. They are extremely flexible in their approach and when there are a number of days work far from home, they can organise accommodation, stay in shearing quarters, huts or camp onsite, to minimise the cost of a job.
